A while back we reported on the LG Univa, which based on its specs seemed like a rather entry-level device with its focus being on affordability. Well, now it’s official as the device has been announced as the LG Optimus Hub and it looks like it will be the successor to LG’s Optimus One Android handset.

The LG Optimus One was a popular Android handset back in the day due to its affordability and it’s passable specs, so for those who are looking to get in on its successor, it will be headed to Europe this October for €199, which is about $270 unlocked. Unfortunately no word if there are plans to bring the device over to the states, but for now it looks like those living in Europe will be getting first dibs.

A quick refresher for those who may have forgotten the specs – the LG Optimus Hub will be sporting an 800MHz processor with a 3.5” HVGA display and 512MB of RAM. It will come with a 5MP camera and will be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3.4.
