Remote control enthusiasts, it’s starting to look as if apps simulating actual physical remote controls are starting to takeover your hobby! As to whether that’s a good or bad thing is highly debatable, but for now if the idea of being able to control a Ferrari Enzo toy car via an iPhone app is something you could see yourself having hours of fun with, Silverlit has just the thing for you.

As we mentioned earlier, this is a toy car version of the popular Ferrari Enzo sports car, and apparently it’s considered to be hobby grade material and is detailed richly. Going beyond your standard back, forwards, left and right controls of a regular remote control, the app is said to feature more robust controls, such as offering varying speeds, multi-racing steering and even allows you to control head, tail and turning lights. The app on the iPhone pairs with the car via Bluetooth.

If you’re interested in getting your hands on the toy car, it is expected to be made available in time for the holiday season this year and will set you back $80. The Ferrari Enzo toy car will be part of Silverlit’s remote controlled vehicles called the Blue Sky Series, which includes the Blue Sky Heli (RC helicopter).

Thrustmaster introduces Ferrari F1 Wheel Integral T500

Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel Integral T500Because most of us can’t afford to buy a real F1 car to race around a track, we have to settle for buying a souped-up PC and an F1 racing simulator game instead. Since racing with the keyboard or gamepad isn’t exactly a very enthralling experience, manufacturers have come up with racing wheels and pedals to bring the experience to the next level. And while we can’t sit in the cockpit of a real F1 car, we can use accessories that mimic the real thing.

Thrustmaster’s latest racing wheel, the Ferrari F1 Wheel Integral T500 aims to give us that experience. Modeled after the interior of the F1 Ferrari 150° Italia, this life-sized replica of the car’s cockpit gives you an experience that’s as authentic as possible – minus the wind in your face and the smell of burning tires on the road, of course.

It features a rubber-textured grip, a life-size diameter, reinforced scratch-brushed metal face, two rotary encoder knobs for adjusting settings on-the-fly, eight dual-detent push-buttons, three automatic centering 3-position metal switches, two 8-directional D-Pads, and Push and Pull F1 shifters. A pedal set with 3 metal pedals complete the racing wheel which works for both the PlayStation 3 and PC.

The Ferrari F1 Wheel Integral T500 will be available this month at the suggested retail price of $699.99. Find out more.

Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On

Formula 1 fans, the season might as well be over as Red Bull looks set to produce the youngest ever double champion in the history of the sport, but there is always next season to look forward to (same goes for Arsenal fans). In the mean time, you can always continue enjoying your favorite racing game with the Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On.

This removable racing wheel is also a life-size replica of the Ferrari 150° Italia racing wheel, letting you feel even closer to the track than ever before, where it was specially designed to be attached to the T500 RS wheel base. Expect this unique peripheral to deliver the power and precision like never before for a unique experience. It takes just mere seconds to attach the wheel face to the T500 RS base, where it boasts a scratch-brushed reinforced metal facing so that optimal quality is maintained all the time.

Apart from that, the scratch-brushed metal F1 Push & Pull sequential shifters will be attached directly to the wheel in true F1 tradition, sporting grubber-textured grips. You can have it run in PC or PS3 modes, while there is even an advanced PC-compatible mode that offers far more action buttons and programmable functions. Expect to fork out a rather hefty $199.99 for the Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On – which is a bargain when you think of how much the actual wheel costs. [Press Release]

Acer launches Ferrari Liquid Mini Android handset

Acer launches Ferrari Liquid Mini Android handset | Ubergizmo window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({ appId : '139683546053659', status : true, // check login status cookie : true, // enable cookies to allow the server to access the session xfbml : true // parse XFBML }); }; (function() { var e = document.createElement('script'); e.src = document.location.protocol + '//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js'; e.async = true; document.getElementById('fb-root').appendChild(e); }()); Network:Ubergizmo English, French, SpanishUberphones Subscribe to RSS Ubergizmo ReviewsMobileGamingAndroidAppleComputersGadgetsConceptsPhoto/Video |  Jobs Contact About Home > CellPhones > Acer launches Ferrari Liquid Mini Android handset Acer launches Ferrari Liquid Mini Android handset Tyler Lee 09/02/2011 09:02 PDT

Are you a fan of all things Ferrari? Perhaps you own the Acer Ferrari laptop and maybe some peripherals and accessories as well, but how would you like to own an Acer Ferrari Android device as well?

At IFA Acer announced that they will be releasing another Android device, this time with the Ferrari branding on it, and it will be called the Ferrari Liquid Mini. If the name sounds familiar it’s because it’s basically Acer’s Android handset, the Liquid Mini, with a Ferrari branding on it and painted in trademark Ferrari red.

The bad news is that if you remember the Liquid Mini, you’ll remember that it isn’t a very impressive device what with its 600MHz process, 512MB of RAM, 3.2” screen. The upside is that at least it comes with Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 as opposed to Froyo 2.2. Given how it has used the Ferrari brand name, which implies speed, power and performance, we have to say that the specs seem to imply the opposite, but if you’re a fan of the sports car, this is one handset we think you may want to add to your collection.
