A couple of days ago, the Motorola Atrix 2 was spotted in the wild, and now it looks like the phone has surfaced again. This time in the hands of the folks at This Is My Next, who got more than just a screenshot of the device – they got to play around with the phone and even ran some benchmark tests on it too. The phone has been codenamed “Edison” and according to their first impression, “it looks and feels fantastic.” The phone packs more curves than the regular Motorola Android device and looks like it could be from HTC or Samsung.

But one thing that makes the Atrix 2 stand out from other Motorola phones is that it doesn’t use the PenTile pixel arrangement for its display. Folks who dislike Motorola’s usage of PenTile displays won’t have a reason to shy away from the Atrix 2. The phone will run on Android 2.3.5 and won’t be filled with bloatware, with most of the preloaded apps being removable by the user. Fortunately, the Moto Blur UI has been revamped to be more lightweight as well, so that’s a plus point for people who disliked previous versions of Blur.

According to This Is My Next, the phone couldn’t connect to AT&T’s LTE service and only managed HSPA+ instead – which falls in line with previous rumors about the phone not being LTE-capable, but that has yet to be determined. No word on a release time or a price, but AT&T would do well to put the phone on the shelves before Ice Cream Sandwich drops, along with the newer phones running it. Despite being accidentally given to a Best Buy customer this week, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 isn’t available to the public yet. Well, the folks over at netbooknews.com managed to pick up one of these Android tablets from Taiwan and have performed the inaugural ceremony for the public by posting an unboxing video of the tablet online. For those of you who have been waiting to get your hands on one, I’m sure you’ll be pretty excited about this news.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is Samsung’s mid-sized Android tablet, in between the original Galaxy Tab (7?) and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in terms of size. It packs a dual-core 1GHz processor, an 8.9? (1280 x0 800) display, Android 3.1 Honeycomb (with TouchWiz of course), 16GB of internal storage, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, a 3-megapixel rear camera, WiFi, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth. The tablet also comes preloaded with Google Apps, and Samsung’s own Hubs as well. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is expected to go on sale today, anyone of you planning to pick it up? While the Motorola XOOM was the first Android Honeycomb tablet on the market, it didn’t exactly create a huge splash when it was released earlier this year. Well, it looks like Motorola is out to try it’s hand at the tablet market again with the release of a successor to its first tablet – the XOOM 2. First hinted at in some leaked screenshots taken from the Motorola website, there hasn’t really been any news about the tablet – until today.

The folks over at Droid-Life have managed to score some photographs of the Motorola XOOM 2 as well as some additional details about the tablet. The photos are blurry and low quality (no surprise there) but they are good enough to show us what the tablet is going to look like (assuming it’s going to be the final design).

The XOOM 2 is said to be similar in weight to the original XOOM, it packs an HDMI and micro USB port, big physical flush buttons on the back, a SIM card slot, a front camera, a rear camera that is labeled “HD”, and a 10.1? display. No word about its internals, what version of Android it is running, and which carrier it’ll be arriving on, but let’s hope Motorola will release a WiFi-only version first, and that it won’t debut with cutthroat prices.

The HTC Vigor that’s been rumored to be renamed the DROID Incredible HD, and recently the Rezound, has just been spotted in the flesh. And judging by the photographs of the phone’s “About” screen, it looks like we have confirmation of the phone’s 720p HD display – assuming that the photograph wasn’t doctored in the first place. Overall the phone looks just like any HTC phone, and it looks like it’s headed for Verizon – red and black colors, as well as the Verizon and 4G LTE logo on the back of the phone. The back of the phone also reminds me a bit of the original HTC DROID Incredible.

HTC definitely isn’t aiming to get the thinnest phone award with the HTC Vigor, but I suppose thickness is the last thing on anybody’s mind with a phone this spec’d out. The HTC Vigor will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3? 720p HD (1280 x 720) display, Android 2.3.4 with HTC Sense, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, and 4G LTE connectivity.
