Altec Lansing, a company known for their speakers, has recently unveiled a speaker dock targeted at the iPhone and the iPod. While this isn’t a speaker dock for audiophiles, given its relatively affordable price and its bright colors, it ought to attract those who prefer form over function.
The iMT630 sports a cradle where you would attach your iPhone/iPod, and it’s apparently smart enough where it will pause your music when you receive a call. It even comes with what Altec Lansing is calling “audio alignment technology”, which has been design to provide you with perfectly balanced sound, or so they claim.
An app called the MusicMood accompanies the device, and it further allows you to customize the sound coming out of the speakers via a 7 band equalizer. The iMT630 will come in a classic black, or for those looking to spice things up a bit, it will also come in a sports version that will sport (no pun intended!) a red or teal trim (as pictured above). You should be able to pick it up for $149.9.
