WildTangent and T-Mobile today announced that the WildTangent Games service is going live for T-Mobile customers with Android devices. Designed for folks who don’t want to spend so much money on a game that they can finish in one day, or won’t touch more than once after purchasing, WildTangent gives mobile gamers the chance to play all the games they want – without intrusive adverts, or paying exorbitant costs.

WildTangent is even giving people the chance to play premium high-quality games for the price of free – all they have to do is watch a short video before playing it. Game rentals start from $0.25 for 24 hours. With the lineup of games consisting of titles like Fruit Ninja, Kona’s Gate and Guitar Hero – WildTangent Games has titles for everyone. T-Mobile customers, text “GetWild” to 6255 from your Android phones to access the WildTangent service.

In the upcoming weeks, Apple is expected to hold a press conference to announce their new lineup of iPods and hopefully the iPhone. While the iPod is popular in its own right, it’s probably not as grabbing as news on Apple’s next-generation iPhone, which is why not much has been known about the upcoming refresh to Apple’s series of iPods. 

Previous rumors have stated that the next refresh of the iPod touch will see it get 3G radio, essentially turning it into the iPhone but without traditional voice calling capabilities, but now according to MacRumors who has received new information, it seems that the next-generation iPod touch is not expected to be very different from the previous generation’s.

According to information given to them, the next-generation iPod touch will be available in white and get a new oleophobic coating for its display and a revised ambient light sensor. Apart from that it is expected to be nearly identical to the current fourth generation model. It is also expected to see a release in October, hopefully along with the iPhone 4S/5.

White components for the iPod touch have surfaced in the past, and if the information MacRumors was given is accurate, iPod touch users looking for a more exciting refresh will be disappointed.

TripIt for the iPad launched a few months ago, and the useful planning app has finally made its way over to the Windows Phone platform today. In case you’re unfamiliar with TripIt, it is an app that allows users to enjoy their holidays – by helping them to get the planning process out of the way as soon as possible. TripIt stores your flight details, dates, hotel numbers, directions, maps, and basically everything you need to know for your trip at your fingertips.

In addition to storing the details, TripIt can also be used to share details with other users. This means that travelling in a large group isn’t going to be a problem anymore – within a few taps, everyone on the trip can have a copy of the itinerary, maps, contact numbers etc so nobody will forget to inform anybody and nobody will be left out. Definitely sounds like a useful app to have in such situations. TripIt for Windows Phone is free and is available now from the Windows Marketplace.

Today Sony launched the Sony Entertainment Network (SEN), for the first time uniting all its online music, video, and games services under one banner. Citing the merging of all the services as a way to unify all its products, the Sony Entertainment Network will be used to deliver content to Sony products such as its TVs, tablets, smartphones, computers, eBook readers, gaming consoles and more.

The Sony Entertainment Network website is now live, with all its services ready and usable. While having access to everything through one service is convenient for consumers, but after the major problems defending against hackers earlier this year, is combining all its networks together under one umbrella the best solution? Hopefully Sony has beefed up its security since then. Check out the Sony Entertainment Network.

Medion, a company known for its computers and notebooks has launched a new Android tablet called the Medion LifeTab P9514. Packing a 10” (1280 x 800) display, it features large bezels all around the screen – a pretty odd design in this day and age where everybody is trying to get rid of bezels in their devices. Other than that, it has standard Android Honeycomb tablet specs: a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 32GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, and a microSD expansion slot.

The tablet features HDMI output, GPS, WiFi, quad-band HSDPA, and is said to have a battery life of up to 10 hours. It also comes preloaded with Documents to Go and LifeTab media software. The tablet will be launched in Europe for about 399 Euros (about $566) during the holiday season. No word of whether it will be available stateside, but we won’t be surprised if it isn’t.
