The long wait is over – those of you who sat through seven Beta releases as well as a solitary gold master, the final version (that is ready for a commercial release) of Apple’s iOS 5 is now available for download to those who have compatible devices, ranging from the recently announced iPhone 4S to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, recent generations of the iPod touch, the iPad as well as its sequel.
