Dolly the sheep was the first successful clone that made it to the news quite a while back, but that doesn’t mean fascination with the cloning process has ended. No sir, in the background, work is still being done, perhaps with the vision of coming up with a Jango Fett human blueprint that might result in an army of clones? I don’t think that day will come so soon though, although scientists from the New York, cell foundation Laboratory managed to clone human cells using the Dolly technique.

This scientific progress half a year down the road after Dolly would point towards the possibility of human cloning. In tow with that, such cell research might eventually lead to the elimination of diseases such as diabetes and spinal cord injury, now that would be something, wouldn’t it?

Said scientists realized that they are able to clone human cells through the replacement of the bad cells with good ones. Since everyone is different, this particular technique can be designed specially for the patient in question and in accordance to their specific needs. A full human clone is still rather far fetched at the moment though, but progress is being made in that direction.
