It is inevitable that the iPhone 4S would have been spotted over at the halls of the FCC shortly after the latest iPhone model was announced. In the FCC filing, it the iPhone 4S is known by the model number A1387, where it obviously picked up nods of approval all round, and said filing did confirm stuff that we already know such as support for both GSM and CDMA bands to turn this into possibly the most famous world phone in due time.
Apart from that, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity is also supported just like the Macbook Air, albeit a low power version of the spec. There was also another version of the iPhone 4 making an appearance on the FCC earlier today, sporting several design tweaks such as a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module which has already been soldered onto the main printed circuit board. It will be known as the A1332, which is similar to the original iPhone 4. With the benefit of hindsight, this is most probably the 8GB model of the iPhone 4 that is offered for just $99 on contract, while those who prefer the far older iPhone 3GS can always get it for free – on contract, of course.
