Netflix might have gone through some rather tough times in recent memory, but good thing an apology was issued by the head honcho to soothe ruffled featheres, Well, we are pleased to bring you news that Netflix just signed an exclusive deal with Dreamworks Animation in order to stream the studio’s box office hits to its customers – a coup that might see customers smile again. Dreamworks was the supplier of movies to HBO previously but this new development meant that Netflix outbid the TV network, apparently forking out around $30 million per film title.
You won’t be able to get Dreamworks titles so soon though, as streaming it will happen only in 2013, but at least this deal lets you enjoy new content. After all, Dreamworks fully intends to release a trio of new movies in 2013, not to mention catalog titles such as Kung Fu Panda in additon to TV specials produced by Dreamworks.
It must be stated that Netflix struck the deal with Dreamworks Animation, and not Dreamworks Studios – so the type of movies that you will be watching will greatly depend on Dreamworks Animation.
